I’m excited to share my work in progress of a Highland bull, which hopefully captures the character of these iconic animals. The rich textures of the bull’s shaggy coat and the warm, earthy tones. I aimed to bring out the unique charm of the Highland breed, with its impressive horns and expressive eyes.

I’ll see you at the Nelson Market this Saturday from 8 am to 1 pm. If you’re in the area, I’d love for you to come by, say hello, and check out my work!

Henrietta, a work in progress. My inspiration for this painting comes from when my dad took me to the local bustling sale yards where I spied a little Bantum Rooster and hen, perched in their cage. I asked if we could take them home with us. The ride home was quiet as I thought he had not got them, I was so disappointed, until we got home and my Dad pulled back the tarp. There they were.
